If you can, download US Army Field Manual FM 31-70, Cold Weather Operations, it is the standard source we use for instructions. Before applying FrogLube for the first time, we recommend this procedure which is highlighted in the manual:
"DURING THE WINTER, WEAPONS MUST BE STRIPPED COM-
PLETELY AND CLEANED WITH A DRY CLEANING
SOLVENT TO REMOVE ALL LUBRICANTS AND RUST PREVENTION
COMPOUND."
After you begin using FrogLube regularly, you will not need to use a solvent unless the weapon is exceptionally fouled from a lot of shooting and requires deeper cleaning.
Solvents: Recommend use either rubbing alcohol or something like this: UniqueTek Premium Firearms Cleaner Degreaser
Alltså, vid kyla, förbehandla delarna som vanligt (för FrogLube) men var sparsam med eventuell extrasmörjning.
